Folk Rider Radio was born 9 years ago in a 1978 GMC motorhome, outfitted with a pro studio, roaming the U.S. to record artists with broadcast-quality sound.
For nearly a decade, it’s been streaming online, showcasing musicians from coast to coast. Now broadcasting from Wire & Wood Acoustic Coffeehouse in Greeneville, TN, it fills our listening room with local and national talent when the stage is quiet.
We’re bringing big plans to Wire & Wood and Folk Rider Radio! Our Mug Club is launching soon, offering exclusive artist info, free downloads, and discounts on our bold coffee and creamy cheesecake. Local Greeneville, Greene County, and nearby artists can perform on our stage for a shot at radio play, with $50 pro-quality audio and video recording packages to capture your sound. Stay tuned for our new Folk Rider Radio website, packed with even more ways to connect with the music.
Our goal is to revitalize Greeneville’s music scene, spotlighting today’s regional talent. Whether you’re a singer, strummer, or storyteller, our Tuesday open mics (7:00 PM, sign-up 5:30-6:30 PM, doors at 5:00 PM) is your chance to shine and hit the airwaves. Come for the music, stay for the coffee and cheesecake, and help us make Greeneville the heart of acoustic sound!
