Step into a space where the lights are soft, the coffee is strong, and the music takes center stage. The Listening Room isn’t just a venue, it’s an experience. Designed to inspire performers and comfort guests, our intimate setup creates a deep connection between artist and audience.

What We Offer:

Welcome to where artists meet an engaged, attentive audience. 

The stage hosts Tune Up Tuesday open mic nights and showcases with local, regional, and national players in an acoustic, cozy environment. People who come to listen make the room what it is. 

All ages and all genres are welcome come sit back and enjoy the music.

What to expect

Tune Up Tuesday

Our weekly open mic night. Sign ups begin early and sets are short so more people get a turn. It’s a supportive place for songwriters to try new material and for players to tighten sets. No cover. All ages and all genres are welcome.

Sweet Thursday

A featured night with a strong regional act. Concert-style evenings with one artist or group performing original material. These shows are memorable and recorded for streaming.

Weekend concerts

Intimate concerts on Friday and Saturday featuring more established acts. Perfect for date night, a way to unwind after the week, or to catch a great hometown show in a cozy environment where songs and stories take center stage.

Showcases and FolkRider Radio

Featured sets from local artists and visiting songwriters give performers time to stretch out and listeners time to settle in. We record select performances for FolkRider Radio so the music heard here reaches beyond Greeneville.

All original music

All shows other than Tune Up Tuesday feature all original music.

Recorded and streamed

Live recording and streaming are part of the room. Sweet Thursday shows and select Friday and Saturday concerts are recorded and streamed to an international audience. Being in the room means you may appear on camera during recorded shows; audience reaction and applause are part of the performance.

The room

Sound and seating  

We tune the room for clarity and warmth so voices and acoustic instruments come through clean and full. Couches, tables, and theater seats sit close to the stage so you feel part of the show.

Food and drink  

Bold coffee, creamy cheesecake, and a few simple snacks are available during shows.

A warm, lodge-like atmosphere with wood, soft lights, and a fireplace. When the music starts people settle in and the room listens — it’s a place for connection, for songs, and for the people who bring them.

Open Mic Nights: Whether you're a poet, singer, comedian, or storyteller, the mic is yours. Come share your voice in a space that listens.

State-of-the-Art Sound: Equipped with top-tier audio gear, our room provides clarity and warmth for both performers and listeners. Balanced and comfortable sound, whether you're on stage or soaking it in from the crowd.

Comfortably Close: With seating that can put you within whispering distance of the stage,  or on a couch by the fire place the Listening Room fosters an artistic intimacy. 

Creative Vibe: Expect a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere where jam sessions and deep conversations are part of the culture.

Themed Nights & Contests: Keep your eye out for events like special guest showcases, and Themed events. There’s always something brewing, sometimes literally.
